Unicoal SpA selects the producers of goods on the basis of the highest standards of quality, price and reliability.

It uses the leading inspection and analysis companies for the quality control of goods prior to loading.

It is accredited by all Italian Customs offices and thus can manage its import operations wherever required.

It handles unloading, stockpiling and delivery of products, it has contacts and contracts with all the main Italian and Mediterranean Terminals.

Transport

Unicoal SpA runs and manages all its transportation contracts through ships, barges, trains and trucks owned only by “First Class” shipping, rail freight and trucking companies.

Unicoal SpA stipulates long terms Contracts Of Affreightment (COA) or charters vessels on a so called “spot” basis by evaluating the freights and costs of the major shipping companies, thus always offering clients a transparent, fair and fast service.

The chartered vessels are of various sizes starting from Panamax approximately (65/80,000 tons ), Supramax ( approximately 50/60,000 tons), Handymax (approximately 40/50,000 tons ), to Handysize (under 40,000 tons) and small ships for coastal sea carriage (3,000/6,000 tons about).
